You have the right to request deletion of all data that traguardo.ch has collected about you, at any time and without giving reasons. This page explains how. The procedure is free of charge.
1. What data we delete
When you receive deletion confirmation, we permanently erase:
- your account (email address, password, any Google/Facebook OAuth identities);
- your learning progress (completed lessons, glossary entries, practice sessions, scores, recurring errors);
- your profile data (target level, exam date, interface preferences);
- transcripts of your oral and written exercises.
2. What we are required to retain
By legal obligation, certain data relating to payment transactions (receipts, invoices) is retained for the period required by fiscal regulations (typically 10 years in Switzerland/EU). This data remains only in our payment processor's systems (Stripe) and is no longer linked to your account after deletion.
3. How to request deletion
Send an email to francesco@fvillano.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request" and include:
- the email address associated with your account;
- (optional) if you signed in via Google or Facebook, please state the provider.
We do not require reasons or documents. The email itself, sent from your account address, is sufficient proof of identity.
4. Timescales
- Confirmation: within 3 working days we will reply to your email confirming receipt.
- Cooling-off period: you have 7 days from confirmation to cancel the request. During this period the account is suspended but the data is still recoverable.
- Deletion: after 7 days the data is permanently erased. You will receive a final confirmation email.
- Maximum deadline: the full procedure takes place within 30 days in any case, as required by the GDPR.
5. Deletion via OAuth provider
If you accessed traguardo.ch via Google or Facebook, deleting your account with that provider does not automatically remove your data from traguardo.ch. To delete your data from traguardo.ch you must follow the procedure above (email).
Conversely, deleting your traguardo.ch account does not affect your Google or Facebook account.
